The difference between the elite and the ordinary is a commitment to excellence. As an Active Duty service member you understand this, and so too does the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. It’s why they’ve partnered with the military and industry leaders to create one of the nation’s most advanced degree programs in unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

UAFS’ associate degree in UAS is available in both an online and hybrid model. There are no drones here. Instead, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art flight simulators used by the U.S. Department of Defense and other industry leaders. And, because of UAFS’ partnership with the Arkansas Army National Guard’s 188th Wing, you’ll have the opportunity to train at Chaffee Maneuver Training Center (formerly Fort Chaffee) in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The unmanned systems industry is growing rapidly and, according to a studies by the Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the United States could see 100,000 new jobs in unmanned systems by the year 2025.  Small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) are a major component of this expected growth. In fact, the Federal Aviation Administration reports growth in non-Model sUAS fleets is expected to annually increase by at least 17 percent through the year 2023.

Don’t wait. Challenge yourself and advance your career by earning your associate degree in UAS at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith.
